Peace Puzzle
Peace can most simply be described as the absence of war, however, nowadays peace researchers and
experts most frequently apply the concept of “positive peace” which is more than just an absence of war.
Positive peace aims at accomplishing freedoms, rights and equality as a means of guaranteeing sustainable
peace without racism, exploitation and other forms of a barrier to equal opportunities. Positive peace is a
constant process and requires active peaceful measures.
The Training Course “Peace Puzzle” will gather 30 Youth Workers from 9 different countries across Europe,
and has the aim of building the capacity of youth workers and youth leaders in Europe to successfully
promote the culture of positive peace among young people.
